GIS Dynamics utilizes a complete set of tools for modeling geospatial information to support smarter, faster decisions:
Specific software and extensions will be utilized to provide powerful visualization and cartographic mapping tools for business and scientific use. Through the use of 2D and 3D analysis, staff can experience a more interactive way of seeing data, visualizing change over time and space to discover and identify patterns and trends, and then disseminate knowledge to analysts, decision makers, and field-based personnel. By utilizing ESRI ArcGIS software and extensions the GIS Dynamics Team will effectively visualize and analyze surface data, provide surface view from multiple viewpoints, query surfaces, determine what is visible from a chosen location on a surface, create realistic perspective images that drape raster and vector data over a surface, and record or perform three-dimensional navigation. 3D modeling will allow management and visualization, from a local or global perspective of extremely large sets of three-dimensional geospatial data. Seamless capability will allow the interaction of any geospatial information as data layers on a three-dimensional globe. The exploration, identification of data anomalies, optimum prediction, evaluation of prediction uncertainty, and surface creation will also be provided by the GIS Dynamics personnel: Explore data variability, look for data outliers, examine global trends, and investigate spatial autocorrelation and the correlation between multiple data sets. Create prediction, prediction standard errors, the probability that specified threshold was exceeded, and quantile maps using various geostatistical models and tools. Spatial data preprocessing, geostatistical analysis, contouring, and post-processing which will also include interactive graphical tools with robust parameters for default models to help newcomers to geostatistical data analysis. The GIS Dynamics Team will leverage data management, visualization, and mapping tools to put powerful geostatistical analysis tools in the hands of staff.
